Pam Hance
Pam's dental care, to date has consisted of a thorough, deep cleaning, removing several of
her bad teeth and she actually had 9 root canals in one visit! We are able to save many
of her teeth and are currently in the process of making her new smile!

Here are letters sent in by Pam's friends, nominating her for Project Smile By Bond!
Hello,
My name is Lisa, and Pam is my best friend. Yes, there are things people do to deserve a
special chance at something but I think that Pam is different. She is always without a
second thought there for you or your friend if there is a need. She is a caretaker, driven
by the thought that she needs to be of helpful assistance whatever it maybe. She faced
terrible family crisis when her mother died and then again a year later when her
stepmother died. She had stepped up to the plate in both instances and did what needed to
be done. She is constantly with customers from her work after house on her own time
helping with what they need be it just to talk or to help with their medicines. She is a
comfort. She is a mother of three who adore her. She is always there for them, I have
never seen her turn down a moment to be there for her kids who are all grown and still
count on her. Pam is a very special person.
Lisa
I don't know how many times she has said to me "I wish I had a beautiful smile like
everyone else." Pam is a woman in her forties. I feel it would be so wonderful for her to
live the rest of her life with a great smile. I work for Dr. Raleigh, I feel what your
doing is really great. Pam would be a great candidate. She has some upcoming events. One
in particular is her step mom is up for re-election of Senate in Alaska. She has asked Pam
to help out. She will be on T.V. Thank you for giving Pam the opportunity to apply. I know
who ever you choose will be very happy. I think your doing a great thing.

To Whom It May Concern:
I write this in regards to the nomination of Pam Hance for a smile makeover. Throughout
the nearly four years I've known her, I've seen her unreservedly and without hesitation
offer her support and assistance to all those who cross her path on both personal and
community level. Her assistance comes in a variety of forms, from a simple hug, a hospital
visit, nearly full-time care of multiple elderly neighbors, volunteering with fund-raising
evens such as the Milk Carton Derby, or even organizing and helping oversee neighborhood
community building programs that were recognized and commended by the mayor of Kent. In
addition to all this, she has many more events coming up that she should be able to smile
about, but is unfortunately too self-conscious to do so. She has been asked to assist on
the campaign trial for an Alaska state senator. She is going to be soon celebrating the
birth of her second grandchild. She is helping run a neighborhood barbeque cook-off. I
can't begin to remember all the other-directed activities that Pam is involved with. All
of this activity is on a volunteer basis, and all of this is in addition to her full-time
employment and family obligations. Pam is action oriented and actively pursues avenues
that seek to aid and comfort all. It is beyond simple well wishing and a compassionate
comment that most might give; Pam does where others simply talk. This service to others is
extraordinary, and unfortunately, under recognized. Pam brings smiles to those she
encounters on a regular basis and, from my perspective; it's high time that a welcome
smile was brought to her. Pam should be able to radiate back the joy that she evokes in
others, and I believe that your makeover opportunity could provide it.

To Whom It May Concern:
Pam is a wonderful person who is always helping others. The past few years she has to deal
with the passing of several different family members. She is always willing to help in the
neighborhood and is on a neighborhood building committee. Pam works for a pharmacy in West
Seattle. She helps people fill their medication, but rarely likes to smile because of her
teeth. She never could afford to have them fixed, but Pam truly does deserve a chance for
a beautiful smile to with a wonderful person and great attitude.

To Whom It May Concern:
I wish to nominate Pamela Hance for your fantastic dental makeover. She has worked for me
for over eight years and has shown to be a very caring a conscientious employee. Our
business as a community pharmacy, by definition means more than just filling
prescriptions. When a client hurts or really needs someone to talk to, Pam is 1st in line.
On many occasions, she has taken them outside to talk in private; she gives out angels and
notes to so many clients. We all need "recognition", as so appropriately spoken by John
Curley, the host of evening magazine, at a recent speech. Pam has given everyone that has
graced our business that openness of recognition and caring. She feels that fixing her
teeth with help her feel like a better person. She rarely smiles because she feels so
self-conscious about her teeth. She should feel able to return the smiles that she brings
about in others without hesitation.
Thank you, Michael Ng, Pharm.D.
